Day of Caring 2016
Posted on Wednesday, October 05, 2016 Share
Each year DWD participates in the United Way Day of Caring. This year DWD staff painted, did repairs and cleaned at The Power House Youth Center in New Haven.
The Power House provides the youth of our community positive alternatives for today's negative behaviors in a safe, drug free environment surrounded by caring Christian adults. The Power House offers a variety of programs for teens within the community. These programs are focused around five key components: Showing the Love of Christ; Expressing Family Values; Teaching about Healthy Lifestyles; Promoting Abstinence & STD Awareness; Providing Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Awareness & Prevention.
