ID Me Account

In late 2021 the IRS updated their process of how users sign in and verify their identity. ID.me accounts are now required to access the following:

  • Online Accounts
  • Tax Transcripts
  • Online Payment Agreements
  • Child Tax Credit Update Portal
  • Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN)

If you are creating a new account, please know you will need to provide a drivers license, state ID card or passport to complete the process.  You will also be required to upload a selfie using either a smartphone or webcam.  The video below provides a nice overview and step-by-step instructions of how to set up a new ID me account.
