United Way Day of Caring 2021

On Wednesday, August 18th our team of CPAs & Advisors gave back to the community by participating in the annual United Way Day of Caring.  This year, we selected a project at Crossroad Child and Family Services. If you are unfamiliar with this organization, Crossroad is a treatment provider for at-risk children and their families.  Therapy, education and family support services are provided both to children who reside on their campus as well as live in the community.

Mission: Crossroad creates promising futures for children in difficult circumstances by providing therapy, education, and family support services.

Our team was given the option to choose from two different projects.  The first project was working outdoors pulling weeds, pruning bushes and trees throughout the various buildings on their campus.  The other group spent time working in the donated items building where they sorted, organized  and boxed clothing, toiletries, toys/games and school supplies for program recipieints.  All of the items will be moved to a new building on the campus and our indoor workers prepped the items to simpifly the moving process.

Did you know, many times, when children are placed at Crossroad Child and Family Services they often arrive without any personal items and lacking basic clothing?

Our team enjoyed the day volunteering and learning more about Crossroad Child and Family Services. Please visit their website for more information.
